Commercial behaviour installation

The strategy was approved. The argument never reached the client.

Between the approved strategy and the real conversation with the client there is a gap. That is where the argument loses integrity — and price ends up filling the space left behind.

You know exactly what communicating cost you. What you probably don't know is how much of that investment became behaviour.

That second bill is the one Showz_ goes to the field to measure.

The visible cost sits in the budget. The invisible one is the discount that takes the argument's place — it shows up in no line item, only in the margin.

The difference

You don't have a communication problem. You have already communicated.

Communicating: a uniformed salesperson presents the product while the client listens with folded arms
The salesperson talks. He is holding the product.
Communicate
to broadcast

The message lives outside the person. It depends on someone repeating it, on support material, on reminders. It loses integrity at every link — and vanishes at the first difficult client.

Installing: the client holds the product and talks while the salesperson listens in silence
Same store, same person. Now the client is the one talking — and the product is in her hands.
Install
to reside

The message now lives inside the person. It became how they decide, argue and sell. It doesn't need to be remembered — it fires under pressure.

Stop communicating. Start installing.
Showz_'s operating principle

What you've already tried

The format may be right. The assumption is what's wrong.

Conventions, e-learning, playbooks and role-play all have their function. The problem starts when exposure, completion or participation are taken as proof of behaviour.

  • 01

    The annual convention

High energy, high attention, high production. A 48-hour window against 363 days of routine.

When it doesn't install: when the emotion goes home with the person and the argument stays at the hotel.

  • 02

    Mandatory e-learning

98% completion in the report. Open in another tab, video at double speed.

When it doesn't install: when completion is read as comprehension.

  • 03

    The PDF playbook

Written by whoever masters the strategy, to be read by whoever is in the car between two clients.

When it doesn't install: when it starts being quoted instead of used — and quoting is not arguing.

  • 04

    The 40-minute role-play

Everyone gets it right in the room — because in the room the client is a colleague who wants you to get it right.

When it doesn't install: when the rehearsed objection is the easy one and the client's is the hard one.

Where your sale happens

The strategy is the same. The body executing it is not.

That is why installation does not start with the format. Each context demands a different behaviour under a different pressure — and prescribing before observing makes no sense.

Retail shop-floor salesperson presenting a product to a client

Shop floor · retail

What blocks it

The salesperson greets, shows the product and waits. Never asks the second question — the one that uncovers what the client came for.

What gets installed

The sequence that turns service into diagnosis. The add-on stops being pushiness and becomes consequence.

Airport counter agent facing an angry passenger, with a queue behind

Counter and desk

What blocks it

Queue growing, client angry, and the correct procedure disappears at the exact minute it matters most.

What gets installed

The conduct that fires under pressure — not the one remembered later, in the report.

Pharmaceutical rep presenting material to a doctor in her office

Rep in the doctor's office

What blocks it

Seven minutes with the doctor and the technical material takes five. The differentiator becomes a slide, not an argument.

What gets installed

The clinical argument said in thirty seconds, in the rep's own words rather than the department's.

Dealership salesperson serving a couple beside a car in the showroom

Car dealership

What blocks it

The test drive is good, the negotiation is hard, and everything is decided on the discount — because nothing before it built value.

What gets installed

Building value before price. And defending the margin at the moment price arrives.

Insurance broker presenting a printed proposal to a couple at their dining table

Insurance broker

What blocks it

Selling risk means selling something the client would rather not picture. Without that, all that's left is comparing premiums.

What gets installed

The conversation that makes the client see their own risk before seeing the premium.

Field rep with tablet and vest talking to a neighbourhood shopkeeper amid delivery boxes

Field rep · route

What blocks it

Twenty stops a week, four minutes per stop. The launch never fits inside the visit.

What gets installed

The ninety-second version of the argument — the only one that survives a real route.

Inside sales rep with headset at her monitor, caught off guard by an objection

Inside sales · screen

What blocks it

Script open, client on the line, and the conversation dies at the first objection nobody planned for.

What gets installed

A repertoire of real objections, rehearsed against the difficult client — not the colleague who wants you to get it right.

Franchisor consultant presenting a document to a franchisee with folded arms behind the counter

Franchisee · store owner

What blocks it

He is the owner. You don't command, you have to convince. In practice, the network standard is optional.

What gets installed

The reason following the standard is his best business — not a demand of yours.

The proof

Installation that isn't measured is spectacle by another name.

Every proposal is born with the yardstick. Before we start, we define which behaviour will be observed, where it should appear and when we will return to verify it.

  • Before

    We define the evidence.

What needs to start happening — and how we will recognise it in the real context.

  • After

We go back to the field.

Calls, visits, proposals, service interactions, negotiations or whichever evidence suits the operation.

  • Sustained

    We check whether it stayed.

Appearing once is not enough. Installation has to survive routine and pressure.

Field reading: a consultant silently observes service at a supermarket checkout
Field reading: observing the behaviour where it needs to happen, instead of asking afterwards whether the intervention was good.

Attendance, satisfaction and engagement can be useful. We just don't mistake any of them for installed behaviour.

Who it's for

For those accountable for the number, not for the event.

  • VPs and sales directors

The message doesn't reach the end client intact and every region tells its own version.

And price becomes the only argument that survives all of them.

  • Product and marketing

The launch is still a deck. The team repeats the product name and improvises the rest.

The development investment becomes a campaign — with no evidence it became behaviour in the field.

  • Channels and distribution

The network is large, scattered and not yours. You don't command — you have to convince.

And the single standard exists only inside the manual.

How to engage us

Two modes. The choice is about depth, not budget.

01

Focused installations

One specific behaviour, at a decisive moment: a launch, a convention, a channel shift, a kickoff or any other window where execution has to change quickly.

  • Field immersion as the first deliverable stage
  • Content architecture and choice of language
  • Live facilitation of the installation
  • Post-intervention verification defined in the proposal
02

Installation programmes

Stages punctuated across months. Each stage installs a layer; the interval between them isn't waiting — it's where the behaviour is tested in the field and returns as raw material for the next stage.

  • Field immersion and journey design
  • Live and remote stages, chained together
  • Training of internal multipliers
  • Successive field readings and course corrections
  • First step

    A 30-minute conversation

You describe the behaviour that needs to change. We tell you whether it is installable — and, if it isn't, we say that too.

  • Second step

A proposal with the yardstick attached

Scope, investment and, on the same page, how the installation will be verified. You sign knowing which evidence you will hold us to.

  • Third step

    Immersion opens the project

Going to the field is the first contracted stage, with its own deadline and deliverable. It is what defines the shape of everything that follows.

About case studies

We will not tell your story. That is exactly why you can hire us.

Every installation starts with access. We listen to real calls, read issued proposals, sit next to the people serving clients, interview the people selling. In almost three decades, none of that has ended up on a website — including this one.

What the market publishes as a “case study” is usually somebody's commercial intimacy, exposed to attract the next client. We don't do that to those who already hired us. And we wouldn't do it to you.

01

What never leaves here

Names tied to problems, result figures, materials produced, field recordings, diagnoses. Nothing that would let anyone reconstruct a client's operation.

02

What we say in public

Which sectors we work in, since when, and how we measure what was installed. A client's name only with written authorisation — and even then with no story attached to it.

03

How you can check anyway

A living reference. On request, we connect you to a manager who went through an installation. He decides what to tell, and tells it straight to you — not to the internet.

Start

Bring the behaviour. We bring the yardstick.

You don't need a finished brief. You need one sentence: what your team should be doing in front of the client and isn't.

What happens in those 30 minutes
  1. You describe the behaviour that needs to change.
  2. We come back with how it could be measured in your field.
  3. If it isn't a case for installation, we say so and point elsewhere.
